This is a nicely made piece of furniture. It came in 3 boxes and was very well packed, arrived in perfect condition. The slate top was boxed with styrofoam inside and out, then crated with wood. The instructions were clear and the finished product is beautiful. However. There was one pretty time consuming snag in the assembly and that was, of course, the last step. The drawer.There’s a block of wood that runs vertically to the side boards that is supposed to run just above the groove for the bottom of the shelf. One side was great, the other, was not in the right spot for one side, and came down halfway over the groove making it impossible to slide the bottom in. We had to cut and saw about and 1/8” off the block to make it work. This is why I gave 4 stars instead of 5. I included pictures of the good side and the side we had to cut.It did take 3 full hours to put this together. It probably took half an hour just to unbox it all. I could have done it by myself, but It would have taken a lot longer and it’s definitely easier to have two people.
